Another very typical day in our household today. Another day of sleeping in until L got out of the shower go walk Alfie. Really need to get back to the gym. Le sigh. I love sleep so much.
Psst… do you like how I sleep next to my planner? That’s the Ban.do 2016 Agenda. In love. The one I have in the larger size is sold out but they still have the little ones. Grab them while you can – SO cute.
Skipped over the coffee documentation today, and instead skipped ahead to my good mornings with the pup, and capturing him chowing down. Usually nothing stops him from devouring/inhaling his food but today, he didn’t have too much of an appetite 🙁 I’m hoping he just doesn’t like the powdered medicine we had to pour on his food and it’s not a sign of something worse.
I’m not sure if I’ve ever mentioned it on the blog, but my first love was make-up. Before this blog, I used to run a make-up and fashion blog with one of my best friends but recording videos and getting good pictures proved to be too time consuming when I was starting up my pre-school. But still, I have a love for all-things beauty related. Scrapbooking and make-up are two money eating hobbies 🙁 Anyway, the reason I documented the products I used today is that my “everyday make-up” changes, well, every day. So I thought it would be fun to look back and see what I used to use in a few years time.
Back to the vet again this morning. Alfie looking miserable, as usual. Poor bubs.
There is very little enjoyment in going to the vet everyday and waiting hours for our turn, and to find out the test results, but the one thing I DO enjoy is meeting other dog owners (and their dogs, obviously). There is always something exciting happening.
Once again, the vet took much longer than expected and lunch was delayed. By the time we left, I was STARVING (no breakfast again). We went to a neighborhood Japanese restaurant that we used to come to all the time as a family. Coming here always reminds me of my dad and makes me a little sad, but it’s always nice to see a familiar face – the waitress who’s been there since I was in elementary.
Had to take a trip to the grocery store after lunch to pick up things for dinner. I’m finally on dinner duty – couldn’t avoid it any longer -__-” Told my mom about how Ali does the ingenious grocery store shot and we laughed as we imagined doing it here. People would totally step on my camera by accident and I would be very, very upset (and probably embarrassed).
Decided on an easy pork chop recipe from my iPhone app Epicurious. Had to meal prep when we came back by marinating the pork. Easy peasy. Then joined mom again in the living room with my laptop as we waited for 6:15PM to roll around to go pick up the Alfster.
“DON’T EVER LEAVE ME HERE AGAIN!” Sorry buddy, you get tomorrow off but we’re back again on Friday…..
Easy peasy dinner which ended up being absolutely delicious. Despite L making it home in time for dinner, we ate in the living room again (TOTALLY unlike my mom to be cool with that). Love having him home in time for dinner.
Attempted a self-timer shot of the three of us but mom was being difficult. This is the result. Awkward.
I realize this WITL is making me seem like a creepy dog lady. I swear I’m not (okay maybe a little). It’s just after his scare last week, I’m just so freaking grateful to have him here, alive and not that well but well enough for me to smother with kisses and be all up in his business to take his photos.
Funny story. After dinner we were all watching TV and then…..everybody…..even the dog….fell asleep. Of course, I was walking around the living room trying to wake everyone to go upstairs and go to bed but everyone ignored me/refused to listen. COOL. So, what did I decide to do? Lie down with Alfie and passed out too. We all woke up around 11:15 PM and made our way upstairs. Shower? Fat chance. Washed my face, brushed my teeth and promptly passed out. But only after annoying L with my camera until he pulled down his eye-mask and forced me to sleep. Womp womp womp.

Loving all the Alfie close-up shots! 🙂 I love how you’re documenting yourself via self-timer! I have very little photos of myself ‘in-action’ since I usually take the photos. I should probably give this a try soon 😉
